Trivento Winery Tour

About this experience

Trivento was founded in 1996 in Mendoza by Viña Concha y Toro, the large Chilean wine group. That year it began operations by purchasing a winery with a capacity of 2 million liters and a 154-hectare estate in Maipú.

The name Trivento comes from the three characteristic winds that influence Mendoza: Polar, Zonda, and Sudestada. Hence, the brand's entire identity is linked to the wind. The tour includes a tasting of three wines by the glass, while visiting the vineyards, the premium winery, and the barrel room.

Visitors are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Aconcagua, and what it takes to walk in

At 6,961 m it is the highest mountain outside Asia, and most people who see it do so from a car park on Ruta 7. The trek to Confluencia and Plaza de Mulas is the honest middle ground.

  • Route 7 running west out of Uspallata between bare Andean ridges

    Guide

The Alta Montaña road, Mendoza to the border

Route 7 west out of Mendoza climbs 3,000 metres to the Chilean border past Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca and the Aconcagua lookout. What to stop for, and what the day actually costs you.
