About this experience

Discover the majesty of the Andes Mountains in an unforgettable day Our tour will take you through impressive landscapes, starting with the spectacular view of the Cordón del Plata, Mendoza's main water source, and the beautiful Potrerillos Dam, a mirror of Crystal clear water in the middle of the mountains. We will continue our journey through tunnels and bridges until we reach the charming town of Uspallata, where we will make a stop to enjoy the panoramic views of the valley and the region. Our next stop will be at the Aconcagua Provincial Park, where we will undertake a walk of approximately one hour to the viewpoint located in the Horcones Lagoon. From there, we will have the opportunity to contemplate the imposing south wall and the summit of Aconcagua, the highest mountain in America. On our way back, we will pass through the emblematic "Puente del Inca"

Guide

  • The snow-streaked summit of Aconcagua rising above a dry Andean valley

    Guide

Aconcagua, and what it takes to walk in

At 6,961 m it is the highest mountain outside Asia, and most people who see it do so from a car park on Ruta 7. The trek to Confluencia and Plaza de Mulas is the honest middle ground.

  • Route 7 running west out of Uspallata between bare Andean ridges

    Guide

The Alta Montaña road, Mendoza to the border

Route 7 west out of Mendoza climbs 3,000 metres to the Chilean border past Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca and the Aconcagua lookout. What to stop for, and what the day actually costs you.
